Setting e-timecard initialization options
Follow the instructions below to set e-timecard Initialization options.
To set e-timecard Initialization options
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Time Card Setup, click e-timecard initialization. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Time Card Setup > e-timecard Initialization. The e-timecard Initialization screen appears.
Select the System to Integrate from the dropdown list.
If you selected JAMIS in the previous step, select the version of JAMIS that you are interfacing with from the Version dropdown list.
For the Access to Archived Time Cards field, select one of the following options to determine whether users can access time cards that you’ve already exported from e-timecard, and if so whether they can review them only or make changes to them. Note that ”r;All” includes both employees and group timekeepers, and ”r;Admin” refers to just group timekeepers.
All—Modify
All—No Access
All—Review Only
Employee—No Access/Admin—Modify
Employee—No Access/Admin—Review
Employee—Review/Admin—Modify
If you selected any option other than All—No Access in the previous step, enter the Number of Archived Periods to indicate how many periods of time card history users can access.
Enter a value in the Minimum Hour Interval field, or accept the 0 default to allow employees to enter any number for hours.
Click the Implement Job Assignment check box if you want to use job assignment codes.
Click the Enter Total Hours in Mass Entry check box if you want group timekeepers to enter only weekly total hours in time card mass entry, or leave this option turned off to allow them to enter daily hours.
Enter a number between 1 and 9 in the Org Level for Loaned Labor field if you want to validate when employees ”r;loan” their work to a different organization. The number that you enter corresponds to the organization level to check for loaned labor. If you accept the default of 0, then all employees in your company can perform an unlimited number of loaned labor hours.
Enter a number between 1 and 9 in the Org Level for Job Validation field if you want to validate whether employees can charge to an organization on the time card line that is different from the job’s organization. The number that you enter corresponds to the organization level to validate the charged organization against the job’s organization. If you accept the default of 0, then all employees in your company can always charge to an organization that is different from the job’s organization.
For each field in the validation type section, select an error type of Hard Error, Soft Error, or No Validation.
Before you can save your entries on the e-timecard Initialization screen, you must make entries under the other tabs. After you do, click Save.
