Setting approval parameters


Follow these instructions to set parameters that affect JAMIS e-timecard approvals. You can click on any parameter link to read a more detailed explanation.

To set approval parameters

  1. From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Application Setup, click Parameter setup. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Application Setup > Parameter Setup. The Parameter Setup screen appears.

  2. Click the Approvals tab.

  3. Leave the Display employee IDs during employee lookups check box turned on if you want the employee ID to appear on the Look Up Employee and Delegate Approval screens.

  4. Click the Only submitted time cards can be approved check box if you want to restrict approvers to approving only time cards that employees have submitted.

  5. For the Allow multi-level approval delegation field, indicate whether you want e-timecard to automatically forward an approval delegation when an approver who has been delegated to then delegates to another approver.

  6. Click the Approvers can modify start/stop time check box if you want approvers to be able to modify their employees’ start/stop entries. If this check box is turned off, then approvers can still view start/stop entries in read-only format.

  7. Click the Approvers cannot modify employees’ personal job lists check box if you wish to prevent approvers from updating their employees' personal job lists.

  8. Click Save.
