Deleting standard codes


When an individual code no longer applies to an employee type, you can delete it. Remember, though, that for existing employees you must modify their codes manually on the Employee Earning Codes screen. Any change that you make to the employee type standard codes affects new employees only.

To delete a standard code from an employee type

  1. From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Master Files, click Employee type standard codes. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Master Files > Employee Type Standard Codes. The Standard Codes screen appears.

  2. From the Employee Type Table dropdown list, select the employee type for which you want to delete a standard code. The bottom section of the screen displays all of this employee type’s standard codes.

  3. If needed, scroll to find the standard code that you want to delete. JAMIS displays the records in ascending order by earning code. You can sort the list differently by clicking the appropriate column heading once or twice.

  4. Click Delete to the left of the standard code record that you want to delete. A message asks you to confirm that you want to delete this standard code.

  5. Click OK to commit your deletion.

  6. Repeat the appropriate steps as needed to delete additional standard codes.
