Allowing employees and group timekeepers to change each other’s time cards
There are two fields on the Parameter Setup screen that determine whether employees and group timekeepers can change each other’s time cards. These fields apply to both current and archived time cards.
Mass entry can change detail time cards created by employees—Indicates whether group timekeepers can modify time cards that employees have already created. If you turn off this check box, then group timekeepers cannot open time cards created by employees.
Employees can change detail time cards created by mass entry—Indicates whether employees can modify time cards that group timekeepers have already created. If you turn off this check box, then employees cannot open time cards created by group timekeepers.
The default for both fields is turned on.
In order for both of these fields to be applicable, make sure that you do not turn on the Enter Total Hours in Mass Entry check box on the e-timecard Initialization screen. If you require group timekeepers to enter total hours, that means that employees and group timekeepers can never modify time cards created by the other, regardless of your settings on the Parameter Setup screen.
