Logging in when you forgot your password


If you forgot your password, you can ask e-timecard to email you a new, temporary one. Once you receive this temporary password, you can use it to gain access to the e-timecard system and create a new, secret password that only you know.

To log in to e-timecard when you forgot your password

  1. Access your Internet browser and enter the URL for the e-timecard web application. The e-timecard Login screen appears.

  2. You can enter your ID and company if you wish.

  3. Click Did you forget your password?. The Request Password screen appears.

  4. If you entered your ID and company on the e-timecard Login screen, then e-timecard fills them in here. If you did not already enter this information, enter it now.

  5. Click OK. e-timecard creates a temporary password and sends it to the email address that your administrator entered in your user profile.

    Note:
    Once you ask e-timecard to create a new, temporary password, your old password becomes disabled. This means even if you remember your old password, you can no longer use it to log in.

  6. Once you obtain the temporary password from the email, return to the e-timecard Login screen, as described in step 1 above.

  7. Enter your ID, the temporary password, and your company.

  8. Click Login. Follow the remaining steps for changing your password when e-timecard prompts you.
