What is an org9?

JAMIS products support a nine-level hierarchical structure. You define the first eight levels in JAMIS Financials or a third-party product. You can define the lowest level in JAMIS e-timecard on the Org9 Setup screen.

The org9 represents the lowest level of structure in your company; it is the level where e-timecard attaches employees and jobs. Because every employee and job is attached to an organization, you are required to create at least one org9.

The org9 that employees are attached to is considered their home org. Jobs are attached to a job org. Each time card record contains the home org of the employee and the job org of the job charged.

Note: You can redefine the term “Organization 9” on the Company Setup screen to reflect the terminology that your company uses. Whatever term you use appears on all screens in e-timecard.
