What is an earning code?

Every company maintains a master list for each type of earning, deduction, and benefit. e-timecard lets you create a master list of codes from which you can pick and choose which codes apply to each employee type and employee.

Normally, you determine deductions, pre-tax deductions, and taxes when you calculate payroll. Because payroll calculation does not occur when employees enter time in e-timecard, the program does not calculate amounts. Nevertheless, you can establish all of your company’s earning codes for use in e-timecard.
