Integrating employee types with JAMIS
You import JAMIS master data by using the Import from JAMIS program. Because the employee type doesn’t exist in the JAMIS product line, the import program automatically creates three employee types: hourly, salary, and non-employee. These types are based on the Employee Type field in the JAMIS Employee Master (PREMPFIL).
The employee type file is the only file that the program does not update or rebuild during each subsequent import. This means if your company wants to take advantage of the features available, you can create additional employee type codes in e-timecard.
The fields used in e-timecard that the initial import builds are:
Employee Type Table
Description
Full-Time Percent; defaults to 100%
Hours Per Day and Hours Per Period fields default to the values from the Payroll Control file
When you integrate JAMIS with e-timecard, the program does not use some of the features in the employee type because they are not required for this integration, or because JAMIS does not support them. These features are:
Standard codes |
Because you maintain employees in JAMIS and import them to e-timecard, the program ignores standard codes when you import to JAMIS. |
Full-time percent |
e-timecard does not perform any calculation. For this calculation, you must make the setting in JAMIS. |
