Exporting to third-party products

When you configure e-timecard for standalone mode by setting System to Integrate in the Initialization file to Standalone or Deltek System 1, you can export data to Deltek or another third-party product. The export program creates a fixed-width ASCII file.

To see the layout for either the export file for Deltek System 1 or the export file for other third-party products, go to the online JAMIS e-timecard table definitions.

If you export to a third-party product, you must decide whether you want to write additional programs to perform more error and suspense checking before the product accepts the ASCII file. To minimize the possibility of errors, you can set all error checking options to hard error in the e-timecard Initialization file. This prevents employees from submitting time cards with errors.
