Exporting time cards with zero hours

e-timecard gives you the option to export time cards whose hours add up to zero.

By default, e-timecard does not export time cards with zero hours. You can turn on the Export time cards with zero hours check box to tell e-timecard to export these zero-hour time cards if this suits your company policy.

Here is a situation where you may find exporting zero-hour time cards useful. Let’s say that an employee enters 40 hours to a job, then enters (40.00) hours, meaning a negative value, to zero out the entry to the job. This would result in a zero-hour time card, but you would still need to export it to the archives.

You may also want to export zero-hour time cards for the sake of allowing changes to the archives. If you do not turn on Export time cards with zero hours, and an employee submits a time card with zero hours, it does not get archived. If changes are needed for this time card, then the employee must create a new time card in a prior period. Yet if you allow exporting zero-hour time cards, employees can make changes (amendments) to them if needed.
