Entering suspense codes for third-party imports

You can tell e-timecard to use suspense codes during third-party imports. If you enter a suspense code on the Parameter Setup screen, then the third-party import program always uses that code whenever it encounters an invalid one.

For example, let’s say that you enter this suspense job on the Parameter Setup screen:

999999-9999

When you run the import from your third-party product, the program finds these two invalid jobs on time cards:

ABC

DEF

The program would replace both ABC and DEF with 999999-9999.

If you choose to use the suspense codes feature, you do not have to enter all available suspense codes. For example, you could enter a suspense job number, but leave the suspense cost element blank.
