Deleting job assignment codes
You can delete either the detail record in the job assignment code or the entire assignment code itself. We provide separate instructions for these tasks below.
Caution: You cannot delete a job assignment code if any org9 record or employee record references the code.
To delete a detail record in a job assignment code
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Master Files, click Job assignment codes. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Master Files > Job Assignment Codes. The Job Assignment Codes screen appears.
In the Filters section, enter one or more search criteria for the job assignment code from which you want to delete a detail record. Your filter choices are: job assignment code, description.
Click Retrieve to list job assignment codes that match the criteria you entered. The results appear in the bottom section of the screen.
JAMIS displays the records in ascending order by job assignment code. You can sort the list differently by clicking the appropriate column heading once or twice.
Click Edit to the left of the job assignment code from which you want to delete a detail record. JAMIS lists the job assignment code’s detail records in the bottom section of the screen.
If needed, scroll to find the detail record that you want to delete. JAMIS displays the records in ascending order by assignment title. You can sort the list differently by clicking the appropriate column heading once or twice.
Click Delete to the left of the job assignment code detail record that you want to delete. A message asks you to confirm that you want to delete this job assignment code detail record.
Click OK to commit your deletion.
To delete another detail record from this job assignment code, repeat from step 6.
To delete a detail record from another job assignment code that you retrieved, click Back, then repeat from step 4.
To retrieve a different job assignment code from which you want to delete a detail record, click Back, then repeat from step 2.
To delete an entire job assignment code
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Master Files, click Job assignment codes. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Master Files > Job Assignment Codes. The Job Assignment Codes screen appears.
