Creating a table and labor categories
To create a contract labor category
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Master Files, click Contract labor categories. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Master Files > Contract Labor Categories. The Labor Categories screen appears.
Click Add. In the bottom section of the screen, contract labor category entry fields appear.
Enter an alphanumeric code of up to 10 characters in the Labor Category Table (user-defined label) field that your company will use to reference the table.
Enter an alphanumeric code of up to six characters in the Labor Category (user-defined label) field.
Enter up to 30 characters for a description of the labor category.
Click Update to commit your labor category entries.
At this point, you have two options:
Create another contract labor category. Repeat from step 2. To create another labor category under the same table, enter the same table that you did in step 3.
Map employees or cost elements to labor categories.
