Checking accrual balances


The Check Accrual Balance check box on the Employee Earning Codes screen turns accrual balance checking on or off on an employee-by-employee basis. This setting for the employee earning code overrides the setting for accrual balance checking on any other screen.

Example

Our demo company checks employee balances for sick leave taken for all employees except for the president and the CEO.

The e-timecard administrator creates the earning code SICK on the Earning Codes screen with the Check Accrual Balance check box turned on. On the Employee Earning Codes screen, for the president and the CEO, the e-timecard administrator un-checks the box for this code. They will still accrue sick if they enter the SICK earning code on a time card, but e-timecard ignores any balances in their specific accounts.
