Changing standard codes
You can change effective dates for existing standard codes, or you can add new standard codes to an employee type. Remember that when you add new codes to an employee type, e-timecard does not automatically create them for employees that already exist in the database. You must manually add the new code on the Employee Earning Codes screen for existing employees. When you create new employees, e-timecard automatically adds the new codes to their records.
To change the effective dates for an existing standard code
From the JAMIS Administration home page > Setup tab, under Master Files, click Employee type standard codes. Or, from the top of any JAMIS Administration screen, click Master Files > Employee Type Standard Codes. The Standard Codes screen appears.
From the Employee Type Table dropdown list, select the employee type for which you want to change a standard code’s effective dates. The bottom section of the screen displays all of this employee type’s standard codes.
If needed, scroll to find the standard code that you want to change. JAMIS displays the records in ascending order by earning code. You can sort the list differently by clicking the appropriate column heading once or twice.
Click Edit to the left of the standard code that you want to change. JAMIS makes the effective date fields editable.
Change the effective dates as needed.
Click Update to commit your changes to the standard code data.
Repeat the appropriate steps as needed to change data for additional standard codes.
