Before you begin exporting

Before you begin exporting time cards, make sure that you’ve defined the following.

These are the export defaults that you set in the e-timecard Initialization file that you cannot override when you export time cards:

• whether the output file is in detail or summary

• whether the program deletes the org9 from each employee record in the output file

• whether the program automatically resets the period status in the time card schedule to “closed”

There are other options that you set in the Initialization file that you can override for an individual export. The topics that follow describe those settings.
